This year long activity works with all languages and levels, but there are a few techniques that make it run smoothly. After you've done this for a while, students get the confidence and skills to have meaningful and accurate conversations in  the target language.  (no more, "me llamo es...").  Teacher: "How many of you think you could have a good half hour conversation with someone what spoke no English?"  Students: "Of course! How easy! Do you think we're  stupid, señor? "
